After the studio Streetcar got a call from Mr. Cavonius. His band The Scaramangas had a gig the next day in Factory, a small club in Helsinki. But the other band had suddenly cancelled and replacement was needed. Would Streetcar play a gig tomorrow? Hell, of course we would.

Hmm, then some problems. The band hadn't reheased in two weeks so a quick practice session was organized for the following day before moving the gear to Factory. The first time the set was played the band sounded tryly and utterly awful, thankfully second time was a bit better. Not overly confident the band stuffed all the gear to Petteri's car (a tight fit) and relocated to Factory.

Luckily King Beer restored some of the band's attitude and the gig was again good, if somewhat chaotic. Some new songs were debuted and Eko SJA made an appearance. And Ville really needs a bigger stage, the poor guy ended up running in circes in a small 2m x 2m spot in front of the drums.
The Scaramangas also played a really good set (the professional attitude, they even had a Rhodes) and the evening ended with DJ Pelttari & friends entertaining the crowd with some top tunes.

Pretty active day actually, in the period of 7 hours Streetcar played their set three times, set up and packed their gear twice, soundchecked once and carried loads of gear around Helsinki and up and down stairs. Petteri was the only one available to take the gear back the next day but isn't that what bass players are for...?
