First and foremost, Streetcar is a song orientated band. Period. That's what we do, play songs.
Streetcar's music is raw, melodic and sometimes rather minimalistic. It doesn't aim to please but doesn't mind if it is liked. Subject matters handle mainly the age old classic subjects: love or the lack of it. Sometimes the song tempos are rather slow, sometimes they go through the roof. Acoustic guitars make frequent apperances. Sometimes the band rock out and sometimes sound very fragile. And that's how it goes...
The band has two songwriters who both write their own songs. Ville writes catchy songs mostly about human relations. We have no idea what Mara's songs are about but they too are rather hummable. Produced results are usually evaluated and further arranged by the whole band. Band's sound is retro-ish but influences span at least four decades from the 60's to the new millenium. Main thing is to create intensive mood-filled music, to either move listener's heart or ass (heart-section dominating at the moment).
